WEM Civil’s Scholarship Program with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS)

Since 2013, WEM Civil has proudly partnered with UTS to offer scholarship opportunities to students to help them gain the skills, knowledge, and connections to prepare for a successful professional career.

The Scholarship is open to applicants annually for Construction and Engineering students. In addition to providing a grant to support students with their studies, WEM also provides students with an opportunity for work placement at WEM. This work placement is valuable as it helps students apply their course work and gain relevant industry experience. WEM Civil has supported 11 students through the program to date.

Nicholas Williams, 2019 Scholarship Recipient said, “The scholarship was my first professional opportunity to learn how construction and engineering works outside of a classroom.” He feels that the scholarship has helped him both professionally and personally. After his work placement, Nicholas was offered an employment opportunity with WEM as an Undergraduate Engineer. He is now currently a Site Manager at WEM.

Our scholarship recipients continue to inspire us with their achievements, and we look forward to seeing their positive impact in the industry.
