The Hills of Carmel

The Hills of Carmel is an ongoing project delivering over 2,000 Lots, commercial and open spaces for the Box Hill community. A significant ten year master planned residential project, WEM Civil has been the Principal Contractor for Marana Constructions and Daiwa House.

Requiring all of WEM’s service offerings, key project features have included bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, road construction, landscaping, three-way signalised TfNSW intersection and construction of two multi-span pre-stressed concrete plank bridges and utility installation.

Running through the project is the Killarney Chain of Ponds, a vital local series of creeks and ponds, home to native wildlife and vegetation. WEM stabilised and embellished this chain of ponds in its natural condition implementing a bush rehabilitation strategy for the new community to enjoy, keeping true to the history of the property.
