River Road Deviation

Jointly funded by the Commonwealth Government, NSW State Government and Penrith City Council, the Regatta Park project includes two main components. Firstly, the deviation of River Road and the alignment to the masterplan to redevelop the use of Regatta Park followed by public infrastructure.

Penrith City Council contracted WEM Civil to undertake the relocation of existing utility services and reorientation of River Road, delivering all associated drainage and storm water systems and landscaping works, decommissioning of the existing intersection and installation of the new signalised intersection on the Great Western Highway requiring new turning lanes and widening to TfNSW specifications

Collectively with Penrith City Council, WEM’s project team navigated road closures with nightworks to ease congestion on the Great Western Highway and potential interruption to the community.
