Macquarie Park Enhancement Project

Tasked with enhancing public access to the Hawkesbury River at Windsor, WEM Scape is delivering Stage 1A and 1B of the Macquarie Park Enhancement Project—focused on revitalising the foreshore and surrounding recreational areas for the local community.
In partnership with Hawkesbury City Council, the project includes constructing a new riverbank pathway with ramps and steps leading to a sandy beach area, seamlessly connecting Windsor Bridge, nearby parks, and picnic areas. The scope also involves upgrading park amenities, playground equipment, and public furniture to enhance the overall user experience.

About the Project
With parts of the park remaining open throughout construction, WEM has implemented safety measures to manage public interfaces, alongside proactive strategies to mitigate noise, dust, and environmental impacts. The team has also coordinated the safe removal of existing playground structures near live electrical and water services to prepare for the upcoming upgrades.
This project reflects WEM’s commitment to building with care—delivering thoughtful public spaces that are safe, accessible, and built for community enjoyment.

This project will have concurrent interfaces with the public. WEM has committed to ensuring that the public can safely access parts of the park during the construction phase. WEM has carefully considered noise & dust prevention strategies to minimize impact on the local community and environment.
WEM also has needed to safely dismantle existing playground fixtures, in preparation for the playground and furniture upgrades. These works have been adjacent to electrical and water conduit installations.
