The Kellyville Memorial Park extension project involved major bulk earthworks, soil removal, drainage infrastructure and retaining walls. Existing fields were expanded to accommodate four international standard rugby league fields with the final stage of the project delivered by WEM Scape.
This project was part of The Hills Shire Council’s adopted masterplan for the site, which also included the addition of a 250-space carpark and a new access road from Stone Mason Drive, in Kellyville.
WEM Scape completed all works in-house, and managed specialist subcontractor partners for the turfing, irrigation and lighting. Project works included poisoning the existing field, stripping 19,000m² topsoil, applying ameliorates to enable the successful re-use as a sub-surface profile, and the addition of 3,000m³ of rootzone sand, including high accuracy laser levelling on each layer.
Additionally, WEM disposed of 10,2000m³ VENM fill, and installed 20,000m² Windsor Green Couch, 2km irrigation, sand slitting, and sub-surface drainage.
