Leadership Development Programs

Our leadership development programs have been carefully designed to equip our leaders with the necessary people skills to get the best from themselves and their teams at each stage of their leadership journey.

WEM Civil University Program

Our engineers have the opportunity to participate in our WEM Civil University Program. The program includes a combination of informal and formal practical training opportunities. Our engineers also receive mentoring from our senior leaders, gaining invaluable guidance and advice from the vast experience of our team.

Institute of Civil Infrastructure

WEM Civil partners with the Institute of Civil Infrastructure to provide industry-specific training for our teams at each stage of their careers. The training is developed specifically for the civil industry and enables our teams to learn key technical skills required for success in their roles.

Plant Operator Training Program

We provide our site-based employees with plant and skills training to advance their skills and learn to operate different machines. Our dedicated Plant and Skills Trainer provides training across all sites to support our team in advancing their careers.

Income Protection

We cover the cost of our employees income protection insurance through our superannuation provider, IOOF, to support our team financially.

Wet Weather Days

We believe our employees shouldn’t be financially impacted when they cannot work due to the weather, so we pay their ordinary hours on every wet weather day. There is no limit on the number of wet weather days we provide.

Our office space in Norwest Business Park has been designed with ample meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, state-of-the-art meeting room technology and allocated secure parking to make a welcoming and functional space.

Our teams also have access to the latest technology, tools and equipment to perform their work productively.

WEM Civil supports equal parenting and offers up to 12 weeks of paid primary and up to 3 weeks of paid secondary parental leave. This is in addition to government schemes, to support our WEM Civil families.

Our Construction Manager, Craig joined WEM Civil in 2013 as a Graduate Engineer. Craig’s early involvement in the business has allowed him to explore roles in Engineering, Surveying, Project and Site Management and now as Construction Manager.
