Willowdale – Leppington – Stockland Masterplan Residential Development Complete

WEM Civil have an established track record in the residential subdivision sector delivering civil construction services across NSW for 65 years.

Stockland, a long term partner, engaged WEM for the Willowdale Estate (valued at $135M) in Denham Court, with works commencing in 2014. This has been a 10 year residential masterplan subdivision project with 4,000 lots delivered, for what is today, a flourishing residential community in the Campbelltown region .

Willowdale enabled WEM to showcase a full suite of services completing high-risk, complex civil engineering solutions and works within the scope of a residential subdivision. Constructed over the Sydney Water supply Upper Canal and High-Pressure Gas corridors, key project features included civil works for low and medium density housing, a sports field, a shopping precinct and retirement village.

The canal built by convict labour in the late 1890’s, required WEM’s infrastructure expertise to build two bridges spanning the canal to preserve the unique heritage features.

This project gave our team the opportunity to bring our expertise and civil services together to deliver what is today, an incredible community in the Campbelltown area. Our team’s project management and problem-solving approach was challenged by complex civil engineering considerations, particularly in relation to the heritage features on the site. The project was completed in late 2022 and is a significant development for the area and residential sector, said Michael Ragg, CEO.
