Sydney Science Park (SSP) STEM Schools Challenge

WEM Civil was thrilled to partner with Celestino Developments and fellow industry leaders at the SSP STEM Schools Challenge Field Day 2024.

The SSP STEM Schools Challenge has been created to provide Independent, Catholic and Department of Education Sector schools with the opportunity to participate in a real Project Based Learning (PBL) opportunity. Students and teachers work with industry partners, mentors and researchers to develop transdisciplinary STEM knowledge and experience that is applied to real-life, hands-on experimentation. Through this they can create innovative solutions and concepts for sustainable, resilient, liveable towns and cities using SSP as the centrepiece.

Students engaged in dynamic workshops, exploring how to design sustainable cities of the future! Our team was honoured to guide the next generation through an exciting activity centred on civil engineering, mobility and transport.
