Rydalmere Park Upgrade

An Open Space in the Parramatta Community

WEM Civil tendered for the Rydalmere Park upgrade for The City of Parramatta Council as a part of their continued effort to provide improvements to infrastructure and parklands. WEM demonstrated a strong capability in project delivery and expertise for sports field construction and was subsequently successful as the Principal Contractor for civil construction, bulk earthworks and lighting elements of this project.

Starting in late 2021, the Rydalmere Park project involved the upgrade of two soccer fields to Football NSW standards including drainage and irrigation. The upgrade of the existing cricket pitch was required to meet Cricket Australia standards along with the installation of practice nets, carpark upgrade and all the lighting surrounding the fields.

Michael Ragg, CEO said, “The Rydalmere Park upgrade provided the team with an opportunity to demonstrate our capability in the open space sector. Working with stakeholders, meeting compliance standards for the cricket pitch and soccer fields coupled with our civil construction services has resulted in a multipurpose space for the residents living in the Rydalmere community.”

The construction of the carpark upgrade fronting the Rydalmere Park Bowls club and borders main roads, WEM’s project team worked collaboratively with Parramatta Council and the local community to stage works ensuring no disruption to patrons of the club or peak hour traffic.

WEM delivered key services, successfully completing a premium sports field, cricket pitch, playground and landscaping for the council and families living in the community.
