1881 Tullimbar

1881 Tullimbar Estate, situated in Tullimbar, is a beautiful boutique residential estate embracing the natural surrounds of the Illawarra Escarpment. Partnering with Dahua Group, WEM Civil delivered over 240 Lots for this master planned community in the Illawarra region across five stages.

WEM Civil services engaged for this project included demolition, extensive tree clearing, bulk earthworks, import of coal wash rejects, civil works, utility installation, bridges, parks, and a combination of different retaining walls. Hard rock on-site required a mix of excavation techniques including blasting, sawing and grinding including repurposing the material for suitability to be incorporated back into the final design.

Additional infrastructure features included the installation of two bridges, an 18m wide culvert bridge and 29m long prestressed concrete plank bridge under a design and construct agreement. Works also required creek stabilisation, rock armouring, vegetation management and bush regeneration works as well as two new community parks featuring a basketball half court.
